Christmas Tree Festival in Port Augusta
15.10.2017 Written by Louise Absalom

The Port Augusta Christmas Tree Committee is organizing the annual CHRISTMAS TREE FESTIVAL this year at the

INSTITUTE THEATRE ...... COMMERCIAL ROAD

Nov 30th  to  Dec 3rd. Set up Wed Nov 29th

This event has always depended on the participation of individuals

and various groups in our community for its success so we would like to invite your group and/or any individuals to enter something for display.

All entries will be named so this is another way to advertise your club or organization.

I am enclosing a poster for you to display, and entry forms (feel free to photocopy more if you need to) to be completed and returned  or phone in your entry (or any enquiries to me).

We are asking people to light their trees if they can so we can have a night viewing with carols from 8.30-9.30 p.m. on Thursday 30th and after the Christmas Pageant on Friday evening. This is an option ...don't feel you must add lights if it's a hassle. Also Sunday morning there will be a carols and readings service at 9.00 am.Hoping you will be able to participate,

Yours faithfully,
Fran Paynter.

Chew the Fat Business Lunch 17-10-17
The next Chew the Fat is planned for Tuesday 17th October at 12.30pm at Arid Lands. Guest Speaker will be Dave Hayward from the Department of Employment. Dave is going to chat with the group about employment options and supports.

If you are thinking of taking on another employee, Dave will be able to give you some great information - even if you are not thinking of employing, this is worthwhile information to have, and, of course, the opportunity to have a fantastic lunch with fellow business owners/operators.
