About Us

RDA Far North SA

Regional Development Australia (RDA) Far North is a not-for-profit organization that supports economic, social, and environmental growth across 80% of South Australia’s land mass—an area comparable to France, Belgium, and the Netherlands combined.

Our Role:
We act as a strategic partner between all levels of government, businesses, and community groups to drive development and address key challenges in this vast region.

  • Population: ~28,670

  • Renewable Energy: 800+ megawatts produced daily (and growing)

Core Funders:

  • Commonwealth Government (Dept of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development & Communications)

  • State Government (Primary Industries and Regions SA)

  • Local Councils: Port Augusta, Coober Pedy, Flinders Ranges, Roxby Downs, and the Outback Communities Authority

We also deliver specific projects funded by partners like Indigenous Business Australia, the Australian Taxation Office, and the ACCC.
